Join us in learning about, appreciating, and planting cempasuchil (marigolds) in time for Dia de los Muertos.

Join us for a special event in collaboration with The Marigold Society, Latino Outdoors, NorCal Resist, and Sol Collective to learn the history and travels of cempasuchil (marigolds) through time. We will be planting rows of marigolds at the Seeds of Solidarity Urban Farm (note that we are at a new location in 2026!) for community use during Dia de los Muertos, as well as share a picnic together. You can expect to learn about cempasuchil's origins and how it has traveled globally, about planting and growing your own cempasuchil, contribute to a community growing project, and meet others that love this special flower as much as you do. We will be blessing the seeds by offering some danzas with White Hawk Ixtatutli, and music will be provided by Cascabel de Dos Rio

Únete a nosotros para un evento especial en colaboración con The Marigold Society, Latino Outdoors, NorCal Resist y Sol Collective para aprender sobre la historia y los viajes del cempasúchil a través del tiempo. Estaremos plantando campos de cempasúchil en la Granja Urbana Seeds of Solidarity (¡nota que en 2026 estaremos en una nueva ubicación!) para uso comunitario durante el Día de los Muertos, así como compartiendo un picnic juntos. Podrás aprender sobre los orígenes del cempasúchil y cómo ha viajado alrededor del mundo, sobre cómo plantar y cultivar tu propio cempasúchil, contribuir a un proyecto comunitario de cultivo y conocer a otras personas que aman esta flor especial tanto como tú. Bendeciremos las semillas ofreciendo algunas danzas con White Hawk Ixtatutli, y la música estará a cargo de Cascabel de Dos Ríos.

5. Sillas (el espacio para sentarse es limitado)
